Our database and systems engineers can modify or custom-create a solution to fill your needs. Our staff has extensive experience with such scripting languages as Visual Basic, SQL 7, C++, Java, CGI, PERL, Visual FoxPro, Delphi and many others.
Of greater importance, however, is the fact that all of our engineers have experience in backward-compatible and older versions of all software. This means that our staff can re-engineer your application to function exactly as it did before, while adding speed, efficiency, and flexibility to your application.
That translates to little or no re-training of your personnel, and complete data retention from your old system---all of which adds up to saved dollars for you.
Case Study: Country Grapevine Company
The Country Grapevine Company started a regional niche monthly newspaper serving Southwest Florida in 1994. In 1995, EACH, INC took over the delivery of the online version of the newspaper. The application developed for Country Grapevine enables a complete 200 page website to be completely changed every month in under 4 hours once the writing has been delivered to the technical crew. The newspaper, in 2002 saw a distribution in over 50 of the 67 counties in Florida, a print readership of 60,000 and an online readership of over 300,000.
While this may seem like just a modest accomplishment, anyone who runs or publishes a newspaper or magazine understands that from month to month nearly EVERYTHING changes: structures or layouts that worked one month no longer work the next; things that seemed immutable are suddenly completely wrong; Features and spotlights that are relevent and timely become obsolete and cumbersome; Columnists mysteriously appear and just as mysteriously disappear; event promoters slam you at the last minute for advertising space; and the list goes on.
The task assigned EACH, INC was to evaluate this work flow which resembled more non-coincidental weather patterns, identify its common and consistent aspects, structure its inconsistencies within a framework of consistency, and deliver it all looking fresh and new every month at the bare minimum of cost in a manner that never lost sight of the mission of the client.
This was accomplished through a structure of data driven aspects for constant, organized data - combined with free form and rapid adjusting aspects for the month-to-month variations that are inevitable. Through this approach, EACH, INC has been able to allow the Country Grapevine Company to retire their print edition of their monthly newspaper completely and focus entirely on the online edition beginning in 2002.
